On my second visit to Linden, we went on a weekday -- what a difference! We were able to sit on the deck and enjoy a beautiful view and a delicious bottle of wine. A great experience. Save a trip to Linden for a time you can get away on a weekday.

We thought the wine was very good here, and the baristas were knowledgeable and friendly, although I agree that the deck policy is off-putting. (Although it's members-only on the weekend, it is open to all during the week.)

These people need a reality check...big time!! You just don't tell visitors that they have to buy a case to enjoy a glass or two on the porch! And you ESPECIALLY don't play police and tell those who are able to drink that their limit is 2 bottles only!! A shame they have gone bonkers, because the winery is beautiful, and the view from the deck is breathtaking. Also, they need to bottle their Late Harvest Vidal desert wine back into full size bottles like they used to, instead of charging unGodly prices for a tiny bottle that will maybe fill two small stems (!!!)

Good wines, goofy deck & food policies. Not only won't we visit again, we'll skip the wines as well, even at retail and restaurant venues. If the owner manages to get in touch with reality again, we'll consider coming back. It's a shame, too, because nothing was nicer in the good old days than to grab some wine and munchies (or a bowl of berries & cream in season) and relax on the deck.

We have visited Linden many times over the past 18 years and have enjoyed their wines. However, we find their recent policy that the deck is reserved for club members only offensive. We haven't gone back. We now go to nearby Fox Meadow Winery. They have a similar club policy, but the deck is open to the public, and their Pinot Grigio and Chardonnays are wonderful. At this winery the owners pour, and they promote their wines with food pairings. Try Fox Meadows! It also has spectacular views of the mountains.

Beautiful setting. Interesting back story for owner. Generally good wines especially for wine snobs - you'll love it. Owner takes his own PR a little too seriously. He could border on the pretentious side - one wonders why when he is supposedly a former Peace Corp fellow. Perhaps he needs a reality check - adoration is to be attained along side of genuine humility.

Great vineyard - hard to get to. Starting January 2008 you will have to be a "case club member" to be able to enjoy a glass of wine, the patio, and food. To become a case club member you have to buy a case of wine in one purchase, each year. Overall, extremely great wine...weird policies.
