Favorite Wine: Painted Red

On this given day visiting four area wineries, the Blenheim wines were the best IMO. I really liked their Painted Red blend. The Cab Franc was nice as well. Liked their Vidal Blanc and Chardonnay too. Prices are quite reasonable. Our tasting room hostess was quite knowledgeable about the wines, the winery and also the area's wineries in general.

Favorite Wine: Painted Red

The girl that did our tasting was very knowledgable and friendly. They have two tasting areas (as well as some seating for enjoying a glass or bottle), so people weren't on top of each other. The back deck has a gorgeous view of the open property and vines. They get another plus in our book since they are dog friendly and welcomed us with dog in tow:) We picked up the painted red, painted white and took along our souvenier glasses. They change the painted label each year, it will be fun to see what Dave designs next year!

Blenheim, located near Kluge Estate just minutes from downtown Charlottesville, is one of the prettiest tasting rooms in town. They have just changed winemakers so we are waiting to see what they will release next! Their previous wines were great! They have a beautiful view off the back deck for tasting and picnicing!
