Favorite Wine: Norton

Norton Wine Review: Back in 2010 I noted what a delightful 2008 BOW Norton wine case gift we received from our daughters. Upon opening my first bottle, I reported that this was most probably going to be a good Norton wine which displayed strong tannins and lack of in-bottle maturity. Every year following we opened yet another bottle which brought many happy tasting smiles. Alas, we just opened their last Norton eleven years later and the wine was simply STUNNING. Thank you Barrel Oak Winery for such a well prepped Norton offering.

Favorite Wine: Bowhaus Red

Pro's: Large variety. Fun atmosphere. Excellent staff. Military discount. Dog and kid friendly. Con's: Can get crowded on the weekends. 2011 was not a good year for their grapes they admit, but they still pull it together well.

Favorite Wine: Bow House White

This is a fun winery, but make sure to go during the week if you don't like crowds. On the weekend it seems like all of Washington DC comes to this winery!

Jackpot! A great time with the dogs, the great lunch plates, and (of course) awesome wine that was fun to drink! We spent several hours there, and could have stayed there all afternoon. And, this winery has the most customer-friendly hours. Kudos!!

Favorite Wine: Norton

We had so much fun at this winery! The welcome children and even allow dogs inside. Our daughter loved the place. There's an upstairs loft with couches and tables. They even show movies up there sometimes. The wines are very nice. I love reds, and the reds were the best part. Don't skip this one!
