The setting was superb and a joy to find deep in the hillsides near Afton, VA. Here you have a $25 closed tasting fight menu with five per-selected wines or wines by the glass ($12-$18). Of course, the third option is buying bottles ($28-$70) of which you may have tasted a few or you have to buy others in the blind. We were happy to purchase an exceptional tasted 2022 Gewurztraminer, a lucky sip T’19 Bordeaux style blend (Merlot, Petit Verdot, Cabernet Sauvignon) and a 2019 Tannat in the blind. Crossing our fingers for this wine coming from a well respected established winery.

Favorite Wine: Mountain White

Very nice selection of wines, including Mountain White, sweet and smooth (my favorite) I personally think that they have a wide range of tastes that will sufice any pallete, from dry, semi-dry to sweet.

Favorite Wine: Pinot Noir

We enjoy visiting Afton Mtn and are suprised that there is a comment below that they don't have sweet wines! We have often tasted a sweet white and red and wonderful faux icewein at Afton. The others must have visited inbetween releases of wine. Beautiful view, and just a short drive west of Charlottesville. No tasting fee unless you are a group of 10 or more.

Favorite Wine: Sweet Afton Vin de Baies Glacees

beautiful vineyard. Ample wine selection fo dry and semi-dry wines but little in the way of sweet or desert wines.
