Have driven by here for years, finally decided to stop and give them a try on our last swing through Tennessee. The tasting room is small and cozy, and the owners wife was tending the tasting counter - very friendly and knew her wines. They had some decent wines, just nothing that screamed "take me home". The view was very pleasant.

Favorite Wine: Mountain Blush
We stopped on our way home from a vacation in the Smokies. It's a small winery with a very small tasting room. The wines we tasted were ok but we didn't find anything we "loved". We bought a bottle of "Mountain Blush" which has a nice flavor. They just built a new outdoor stage area for summer entertainment. We didn't like the little plastic cups used for tasting.

Favorite Wine: Tennessee Muscadine
Has a great view! Made my fave wine for years but no longer makes it no more the 2000 Mississippi Muscadine. They have one that's close to the taste but not close enough for me.

Favorite Wine: Late Harvest Cynthiana Port
Norton Wine Review: Pretty “Great Smokies National Park†setting, but the poor struggling vineyard vines were the brunt of a hard life (birds, 70 inch rainfalls, yellow jackets galore, and terrible seasonal temperature extremes). According to this vineyard owner, strange Tennessee laws force wineries to buy local grapes which impacts their success/failure of wine production. Take TVW’s Appalachian Red which was comprised of Chambourcin, Norton, and the kitchen sink. Every grape imaginable was to be found in this wine to supposedly meet state wine production restriction. Poor vintners, it is obviously a hard, hard life in this state. TVW did try to produce something a bit unique with their ‘Late Harvest Cynthiana’. An unfortified 100% Norton Port which had been barreled oaked for five years and obtaining on its own almost 19% alcohol. An interesting variation for a port-of-sorts.

Wine was pretty good but tasting in little plastic cups took a lot of the fun of tasting out of it.

Wines okay... Need to give tastings in a glass not plastic cup and give enough to taste.
