Visited Pindar on a Monday while vacationing in Conn. Very disappointed. The wines were good, but unfortunately the help was lacking. We were one of three couples tasting and the lady helping us was more concerned about talking to her friends that were nearby. Never told us anything about the wines and we had to ask her to pour the nest selection. Won't go back.

Favorite Wine: Sauvignon Blanc

I'm not sure what winery the others are used too. But if you like to choose your wine by standing in the vino section of a grocery store then make this stop. The tasting bar was mobbed with over 200 people clammering for a spot so they could get their "taste on" and see who hits inebriation the fastest. I should have known by the number of limos and coach buses outside what we were walking into. Being our first trip to LI for a wine tour we quickly learned to stay away from big places with buses outside. Very touristy and not for the true wine aficionado. We bought one bottle, not sure why.

i have been going to pindar for 17 years now and i love the stop in the summer, but they need to add on or upgrade the tasting room.the wine is great and the pinot noir is my husbands all time favorite on the island.But doctor dan please please do something exciting with the tasting room or add a nice addition.starting to get bored with it.
