Favorite Wine: Norton Port
I wasn't expecting much from this winery, having been that it was blasted in "The Wild Vine" book, but I like being surprised. The staff was very nice and pleasant to talk to. Their Norton Port is made from 110+ year old vines and it honestly blew me out of the water - fantastic! I don't remember much of anything else, but make sure you try the port.

This winery has a great river bluff view. The wines though are probably below average. Been here twice and the wines were disappointing the second time as well

Didn't care for their wines at all, but the view was absolutely breathtaking. I would return for the view, but not the wine.

They were sold out of the Norton which comes well reviewed, and the Chambourcin resembled a cherry flavored cough syrup. I recall on previous visits buying a glass of a Norton and liking it very much, but the atmosphere that caters to partiers is just that, a party atmosphere (complete with a cheap beer and hard liquor menu). I think people go there to get trashed, but good for them for making a good Norton. Nice folks at the tasting bar who must deal with a wide variety of visitors.

Our favorite winery of the weekend for the view is soooo Amazing. Didnt like the wines, we did buy one bottle and drank on the deck. Would not go back for the wine but most definelty for the view!

Norton Wine Review: We found Oak Glenn Winery while traveling the Hermann Wine trail. Though we haven’t settled on a family ranking of this Norton wine, it is strange that we keep going back to this case, and before long it will be all gone. While traveling the Hermann wine trail you will have listed six wineries. This is one of the four you should visit. The others would be Stone Hill, Adam Puchta, and Robller Winery.

The drive through the glenn to the top is the river bluff is enchanting, the view overlooking the river is spectacular and the history exhibits are nice too. With just a few notable exceptions, however, the wine is ho hum. We purchased three dessert wines for celebrating the Christmas holidays later this year. Sweet Caroline, River View Red and the Port White are unique. The wine shop and seating area were too commercial for our tastes.

The outside patio area has a nice ambiance in the summer. The wine leaves a bit to be desired.

Outside - breathtakingly beautiful - overlooks MO river. First wine I have ever had to spit out. Inside not nearly as nice as out. Will not return.
