Favorite Wine: Blackberry

I stopped in yesterday with a friend and to my surprise this place is amazing, staff's very friendly the wine is even better. It's a great way to spend an afternoon sipping on wine sitting in the back over looking the vineyards. The owner was very nice and came and sat with us, This is a hidden treasure it's a must see!!!!

Favorite Wine: 2010 Chambourcin

This nice winery outside of KC has beautiful grounds, and ample space at the tasting bar. The Norton was full bodied, and not unlike other Nortons being produced in western Missouri. I picked up a 2010 Chambourcin to drink now, as it had more character than the Norton. It gets pretty crowded on weekend days, and the staff are as friendly as they can be under such crowded conditions.

Favorite Wine: Concord or the Peach Wine

I've been to Ladoga Ridge twice now and both experiences were great. The staff is so friendly and welcoming and even took the time to take a couple pictures for me! The tasting room is nice looking and they have outside seating as well with a nice view. For $5.00 we tasted all of their wines (probably 8 or 10) and we got to take home an etched wine glass. I really like their Concord which is very lush but I liked their Peach wine as well!

Favorite Wine: Norton

Beautiful grounds are your first impression. Then a very nicely done tasting room. During our visit we were the only ones there and received a warm and enthusiastic welcome from the father and daughter team. Given how new this winery is the wines were surprisingly good. There Norton was a good representation of what had been previously described as the Kansas City style. Ladoga made me appreciate this style more. Didn't really taste a bad wine although some were in styles not in our range of preference. We will definitely come back and enjoy their wines and park like setting. Very relaxing. Smithville Lake is just a few blocks away.

Went for the first time with my daughter who has been several times. The people there were very friendly and was very informative. It is a very beautiful property looking out at the vines.

Favorite Wine: Concord

Not an easy name to remember, and not the easiest place to find, but this is a beautiful winery with some good wines. They had a good variety, but their dessert wines were the most intriguing. The Strawberry Rhubarb was more liquid candy than wine. There was a rather large seating area inside, but despite the cool temperatures we enjoyed the beautiful view at one of the outdoor tables. Well worth the trip, especially if you are visiting a couple of the Northland wineries.
