Oh what a difference eight years makes in revisiting a winery. Eight years ago I was disappointed with their young 'green' Norton wine, but today you get a nice, yet lighter than anticipated, example of a Kentucky estate grown wine. Surprises which we did not expect, including the black Newfoundland/Labrador dog, were offerings of Zinthiana (Zin x Norton), Crimson Cabernet (Norton x Cab Sauv) and Cabernet Dore (Norton x Cab Sauv white seedling). All three crosses are a must for trying something uniquely new and not available for the most part anywhere else. Here you will find many dry, semi-dry and sweet wines. Have fun visiting.

This is my favorite winery. The owners are so friendly and knowledgeable offering individuals insight as to which wines they might prefer.

I am visiting from NY state for the week and was pleased to find this locally owned/operated winery. The owners Sandy and Jim ooze Southern Hospitality. Sandy went above and beyond to assist myself and my friend( who is from Louisville) with finding the perfect wines for the both of us. I prefer a more dry wine and my friend prefers a more sweet wine. We both were able to find wines we each liked specific to our tastes as well as a few bottles we will enjoy sharing. This local winery is a must see anyone visiting this area. Stop in for a tasting you will not be disappointed. The winery itself is nestled off the main road in a tiny neighborhood. It's a small winery that makes each guest feel welcome. Sandy has multiple items for sale either for yourself or for gifts that anyone who enjoys a nice glass of wine at the end of a long day would be excited to have. Thanks again Sandy and Jim your winery has definitely been a highlight to my first visit to Kentucky.

Stopped here while traveling on the 4th, found the tasting room busy - but our hostess (the owners wife) kept up with everyone. The wines were o.k. (slightly on the sweet side), but nothing jumped out as special. The winery and grounds were nicely appointed, and the service friendly. Thanks!

just loved this winery and the people running it. The wines are great and the drive was well worth it. Such a very pleasant experience and learned so much about wine making. We were invited to come back and enjoy a nice meal and music (we were there on a Friday) and would have loved to check it out, but had other plans. Such a great place and wonderful people. The Diamond wine was delicious and we bought 2 bottles as well as 2 other types. Great fun.

Enjoyed talking to the proprietors. The wine tasting was NOT free. Even though we bought 2 bottles of wine, they still charged me $3.50 to taste 3 reds. They were crushing grapes while we were there, but did not offer to show us any of the process.

Can't wait to go back. They had a lot going on, but they made time for us. Was really great.
