Favorite Wine: Traminette

Outstanding rural vineyard on 300 acres. 7 different grapes grown on premises. Staff was fantastic and there was music on the back porch this Friday evening. Very enjoyable!

Our trip to Talon was very pleasant. The complex is large and relaxing, you drive in past the barrel barn and bottling building (some might confuse this for the tasting room). Drive on down the road to the old homesite. The tasting room is mid-sized but comfortable. The wines were above average, but none really jumped out as special to me (the Chardonnay and Cabernet were excellent, but not outstanding).The girl working the tasting counter was very friendly and seemed to know wine, not just what she was selling. If we're in the area again, we'll definately stop in.

Favorite Wine: Chambourcin

Beautiful setting in rolling Kentucky hills. The tasting room in inside a historic house. Knowledgable staff. Did charge but generous pours. $5 for 6 tastings. By far my favorite was the Chambourcin. I am a big red drinker and this one is amazing. Other chams are too bitter but this one is perfect. I wish I would have bought more while I was there!

This winery charged for wine tasting. Liked the blackberry wine, not impressed with the other wines.

Favorite Wine: Afterglow

We have visted 4 of the local wineries and they have all charged for wine tasting. So far Talon wine is our favorite.

This winery charges for wine tasting. They might want to take a lesson from the Indiana wineries and Sinking Valley Winery in Mt. Vernon, Ky. and not charge.
