Favorite Wine: All of them!

Wow!!! We arrived at Blue Heron 15 minutes before closing, and Gary met us at the parking lot. I asked if we still had time for a tasting, and he said sure - come on in! So glad we did. The winery is located at the top of a very tall hill overlooking the Cannelton dam on the Ohio river. The view from the deck is spectacular and well worth the trip. And the wines - fantastic! Every one of them. Gary had done Chambourcin 3 different ways and all were great. And I'm not a big fan of that grape. The Edelweiss was also excellent, and Gary explained a lot about the wines/process and threw in a few nuggets of wisdom along with the tasting. One of our best visits in a long time! Thanks for taking the time with us, even though we were stragglers. Oh, and don't miss the big Celtic Cross cut in the limestone - impressive. Everybody needs to visit this winery.

Favorite Wine: i think it was called twin towers.

gorgeous view. Owner was very wonderful and took the time to explain anything you wanted to know about the wine and the whole process. was a wonderful afternoon.
